Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of Agent Torture Lab. The short version: we crash test the AI agents you are allowed to test, and we hand you back a report. The most important rule is that you must only point us at a bot you own or have permission to test.
This is a plain-language summary, not a substitute for legal advice. It should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before you rely on it.
Acceptance
By using Agent Torture Lab, including running an anonymous Bot Roast or paying for a report, you agree to these terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Description of service
Agent Torture Lab runs adversarial customer simulations against a customer-facing AI agent: impatient, confused, or deliberately tricky conversations. It then produces a report describing what failed, how severe it is, the transcript evidence, and recommended fixes. The report is the product. We test the bot you point us at; we do not modify, host, or operate your bot.
Authorisation requirement
You must own the bot you submit, or have explicit permission to test it. When you start a live test you confirm this by checking "I own this bot or have permission to test it." The same requirement applies to any transcript you paste in: you must have the right to submit it. You are solely responsible for having that authorisation, and for any testing you direct us to run.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Agent Torture Lab to:
- Test a third-party bot you do not own and have not been authorised to test.
- Submit transcripts or context you have no right to share, or that contain other people's personal data without a lawful basis.
- Attempt to attack, overload, or gain unauthorised access to any system, including ours, your target's, or anyone else's.
- Break the law, infringe intellectual property, or violate a third party's rights.
We may refuse, throttle, or stop a test, and may suspend access, if we reasonably believe it breaches these terms or puts the service or others at risk.
Payment & refunds
The anonymous Bot Roast is free. The full report is a one-time payment of $29 (USD) per report, processed by Stripe. Because the report is a digital product delivered immediately on payment, payments are generally non-refundable once the report has been opened. If something went wrong, such as being charged in error or the report failing to generate, contact us and we will review it in good faith and issue a refund where appropriate.
Intellectual property
The content of the report we generate for you, including the findings, evidence, and recommendations about your bot, is yours to use. The Agent Torture Lab platform, including our testing methodology, scenario design, software, and the way reports are produced, remains ours. Nothing here transfers ownership of our platform or methodology to you.
No warranty
Agent Torture Lab produces a deterministic analysis of how a bot behaved under the scenarios we ran. It is decision-support, not a guarantee. It is not a legal, security, safety, or compliance certification, and a clean report does not mean your bot is free of every possible issue. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. You remain responsible for decisions you make about your bot.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Agent Torture Lab and BiteRight Ltd are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the report giving rise to the claim.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we do, we will update this page. Continuing to use Agent Torture Lab after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
We intend these terms to be governed by the laws of Cyprus and applicable EU law, consistent with the operating entity BiteRight Ltd. This is to be confirmed with legal counsel.
